Our Story

JL27, founded by Julia McGuire is a fashion brand designed and made in New York City. Blending the elements of classic essentials with a slightly masculine touch, meant to simplify one’s daily wardrobe. Our mission is to stop fast fashion and encourage women to invest in true closet staples. Each piece is designed to be dressed up or down and styled on rotation, endless ways. 

A focus on design, quality, and versatility to have you looking your best with minimal effort. For the girl on the go- roll out of bed, throw on a button up with your favorite pair of denim. For a more polished look, step out in the sleek silhoutte of our slip with a heel or add the blazer to complete any styled look. One of Julia’s biggest inspirations for this line was her grandfather’s shirt. The perfect oversized fit, she reached for constantly. An easy pair to her favorite jeans or over a swimsuit... This was the one piece of clothing guaranteed to make the vacation packing list, but of course it needed a few improvements and a feminine touch.
